Thanks for being part of the team!
Throughout his career Paul has seen many changes to the line dance scene yet through hard work he has managed to stay up to date keeping people on the dance floor wherever he goes. His charismatic personality, his legendary leather trousers and his personal touches talking to as many people at an event as possible and remembering them make Paul one of the hottest line dance acts on the circuit.
Derek "Magill" Darby
A well-known name within line dancing whether as a solo or a duo Derek never fails to get the crowd on their feet. You’ll be kept on the dance floor with a great variety of old classics through to modern day releases. Ever the gentleman on and off stage you are sure to enjoy yourself whenever Derek is around.
Voted Female Vocalist of the year at the 2016 CCN Awards and if you’ve ever had the pleasure of listening/seeing Kay D it’s not hard to understand why. Possibly one of the best female vocals on the circuit whether you’re a dancer or a listener you will not be disappointed. Country music and line dancing combined has never been so pleasurable with this lovely lady on stage.
Claire lives on the North Wales coast and started line dancing with her mum and auntie when she was 12 years old. Clare’s first ever favourite dance was Love Letters danced to the song Strawberry Wine. In early 2017 she had the chance to record the track and put it on YouTube which received a great response and gave Clare the confidence to start singing. Singing on the line dance circuit is perfect for Clare as being a dancer herself means she knows what's popular and is also able to suggest dances to alternative & favourite tracks she sings. It's a very exciting time for Clare being a relative newcomer on the circuit.
Having always been a keen musician it’s no wonder that Billy Curtis continues to thrive within the Country Music & Line Dance scene. January 1998 marked a significant change in Billys career. With the final dissolution of the band, Billy decided to take time out from touring to concentrate on song writing and recording. His popularity soon grew with his exhaustive repertoire of dance favourites and January 2002 saw him being featured on the front cover of Line Dancer Magazine heralding his acceptance on the British line dance scene. His musicianship, song writing abilities and his understanding of the Line Dancing genre got him noticed by choreographers such as Kate Sala, Ed Lawton, Pedro Machado, Rachael McEnaney, Rob Fowler, Maggie Gallagher, Liz Clarke, Peter Metelnick, Dynamite Dot, Pat Stott, Johnny 2 Step, Max Perry and many more all of which has resulted in an incredible demand for Billy to headline at Line Dance festivals and events all over the UK and Europe
This fantastic Musical duo comprising of the Cockney Cowboy Peter Stothard (Acoustic guitar, lead vocals and questionable dance moves!) along with multi-instrumentalist Stuart Payne (Keyboard, electric guitar, lead & harmony vocals and any other instrument he can lay his hands on!) are the whole package. Ever the entertainer Pete will keep you on your toes (figuratively & literally!) having previously had his own line dance club Pete knows dances of old, keeps current and can even throw in original material that he can tell dancers what dance fits. If you want a master-class in musicianship don’t take your eyes off Stu a master of such a variety of instruments watching him play is mesmerizing. Together they work so well which is why they are continually on the road performing at a variety of country clubs, line dance events, weddings, corporate events, line dance and/or country music festivals.
Paul and Debbie Weston (both of ‘The Westons’ trio) perform as a duo in their own right and perform with that same stamp of quality and variety their trio version gives on stage. They bring a perfectly blended mix of both Line Dance and Country material to the table with their repertoire catering for Line & Western Dance events or simply straight country.
Last and by no means least the welsh master himself Mr Chris James . Possibly one of the best and strongest male country singers on the scene, Chris is still a firm favourite up and down the country singing a vast variety of country music with excellent guitar playing, and always smiles and interacts with his audience. Chris appeals to both listener and dancer and is always praised highly wherever he performs. A proud Welsh man , we are delighted to be having Chris perform in his "Homeland" for this inaugural festival.
